June 15, 2023 – Katy, TX – The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show continued its ongoing legacy of giving with the presentation of a $225,000 check to Texas Children’s Hospital this June at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus in Houston, TX.

The $225,000 check marks a record-breaking annual contribution for the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, only made possible thanks to generous sponsorship support of the 77th-annual show, held in March and April of this year.

The funds raised through the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and presented to Texas Children’s Hospital earlier this month mark the start of a three-year commitment to the radiology department at the West Campus. Pin Oak’s donations to the radiology program over the course of three years will allow for the expansion of the department and the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment.

“Texas Children’s is deeply grateful for the decades-long partnership with Pin Oak, which has been instrumental in advancing our mission to create a healthier future for children and women in our community and across the globe,” said Kara Abrameit, Vice President, Texas Children’s West Campus. “Pin Oak’s most recent commitment to Texas Children’s West Campus will help make possible a renovation to our radiology spaces and meet the growing demand for comprehensive imaging procedures to treat our patients of all ages from infants to young adults.”

Now a four-week-long horse show held annually in March and April, the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show has the distinction of becoming the first donor to Texas Children’s Hospital in 1947, providing the seed money to begin planning and building the world’s first pediatric hospital.
