Entries for the 2021 show, to be held October 14-23 at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA, will open at 12 p.m. (EST) Wednesday, July 21. Entries can be completed online at entries.showmanagementsystem.com, with entry closing dates as follows:

  • Hunter and jumper divisions – Tuesday, August 31
  • Equitation and sidesaddle classes – Tuesday, September 7

Qualifying lists will be made available following the final close of entries on September 7, 2021.

The all-new Penn National Championships East are among the many highlights of this year’s PNHS and will feature full divisions for children’s and adult hunter and jumper competitors and $10,000 classics for the children’s hunters, adult hunters, children’s jumpers, adult jumpers and the low junior/amateur-owner jumpers.

Age-group equitation warm-up classes have also been added to give equitation competitors a chance to contest an additional judged equitation course prior to the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final, as well as the usual allotted warm-up round.

In addition to the prestigious Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal, “Junior Weekend” will again feature the Neue Schule/USEF Junior Jumper Individual National Championship and the Neue Schule/USEF Prix des States Team Championship.

For open jumper competitors, the PNHS will offer USEF 6* Jumper classes, rather than previously held FEI-sanctioned events.

Over the course of the 10 days of competition, the 2021 PNHS will offer more than $650,000 in prize money – more than ever before! A recap of further highlights for both jumper and hunter exhibitors is available to view here.

Presiding over the 10-day event will be equitation judges Thomas Brennan and Emil Spadone and hunter judges Mark Jungherr, Timmy Kees, Jeanne Marie Miller and Lyman T. Whitehead. Designing the courses for the week will be hunter designers Alan Lohman and Ken Krome and jumper course designer Manuel Esparza.
