Five Favorite Equestrian Podcasts

Whether I’m driving, working out or doing any non-writing work, I am almost constantly listening to something! (To the point that I was recently talking to my husband about that constant need for an auditory distraction and learning to be more content in the quiet…but that’s another topic for another time!)

When it comes to what I’m listening to, podcasts are my #1 go-to! (Newly followed closely by audiobooks.) I have lots of favorites that span across categories, but this week, here are five of my favorite equestrian podcasts!

The Plaidcast – Piper Klemm does a fantastic job of hosting The Plaidcast and leading timely, highly relevant discussions with great guests! If you’re someone that’s been following the World Equestrian Center (WEC)/US Equestrian announcements this week, be sure to check out yesterday’s episode with Roby and Jennie Roberts from WEC!

Equestrian Author Spotlight Podcast – It’s actually because of Piper and The Plaidcast that I first listened in to this one, and I’ve loved the depth and relevance of topics that host Carly Kade Creative covers beyond solely interviewing equine authors! I still have more listening to do, but a few of my favorite episodes thus far:
– On Building The Plaid Horse, Co-Authoring a Book Series & Beating Burnout with Dr. Piper Klemm (https://bit.ly/2UoKLmR )
– On the Power of Pinterest & Why it’s Okay to be in Process with Lindsey Rains of Hoof Print Marketing (https://apple.co/3lvduSS)

The Equestrian Podcast – Host Bethany Lee has done a really fantastic job of securing a great lineup of top-name guests from across the industry! From Laura Kraut to Stacia Madden to Hannah Selleck, there’s no bad place to start listening to this one!

IDA Speaks Podcast – I wouldn’t normally be as quick to listen to a dressage-focused podcast, but knowing the host, Kimberlyn Beaudoin at KTB Creative Group, I tuned in, and I’m so glad that I did! Many of her guests cover topics that span well outside the dressage world, including these episodes with photographer extraordinaire and my talented former Florida roommate, Ashley Neuhof: https://apple.co/3pBimbM and my former boss, Jennifer Wood of Jennifer Wood Media, Jump Media and Equestrian Businesswomen (so many things!): https://apple.co/3lu9guU

Horses in the Morning – This is an awesome one if you want something to consistently listen to each morning, because, as the name suggests, it’s your daily dose of horses in the morning! The show covers a wide range of discussions from across equestrian disciplines, and, while he’s been out the past several weeks, I really enjoy the host Glenn Hebert!

Happy listening!

– Emily
