Canton, NY – June 4, 2021 – Fox Rust Farm is proud to welcome Piper Klemm, Ph.D., as the judge of the Canton, NY-based farm’s spring schooling show, to be held June 6, 2021.

A lifelong equestrian and student of the sport, Klemm has dedicated much of her career to furthering her equestrian education and to sharing that education with others as the owner and publisher of The Plaid Horse magazine and as an equestrian studies professor.

Klemm is also a strong supporter of local shows and riding programs and a continual advocate for increasing the accessibility of horse showing.

“This will be my second year judging at Fox Rust, and I’m thrilled to be back,” said Klemm, who previously judged at the venue, owned and operated by Allie Fox, in September 2020. “Horse shows like this one and trainers like Allie are so vital for growing our sport and for helping riders to have a positive, affordable horse show experience.”

In an effort to make the horse show a greater learning opportunity for competitors as well, Klemm will provide written feedback for each rider.

“I say often that I believe that continually educating ourselves is the best thing we can all be doing in our sport,” said Klemm. “Offering written feedback is a great way to help riders to learn and improve for their next time in the ring.”
